The Minnesota Department of Education requires specific professional development activities for renewal of a teacher license. The five specific areas include:
· Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies
· Accommodation, Modification, and Adaptation of Curriculum, Materials, and Instruction
· Key Warning Signs for Early-Onset Mental Illness in Children and Adolescents
· Reading Preparation
· Technology (for licenses that expire on June 30, 2012 and thereafter)

LCSC is offering a one day workshop called “Renew Your License” that will cover all five areas. Teachers can choose to come to one or all sessions. Please consult with your local district CEU approval committee for preapproval of the credits.

Fee structure: $75 for full day workshop (includes 3 or more sessions) and $50 for half day workshop (includes 2 or fewer sessions)
