Run4Rural is a dynamic 1½ day public leadership training aimed at empowering individuals interested in contributing to their communities through elected office and other public leadership roles. Our next training opportunity is October 10 & 11 at West Central Initiative in Fergus Falls.

Session times:
Friday, October 10, from 3 - 8 p.m.
Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Training topics include: 

• Understanding what’s at stake in our communities and the role local elections play.
• Finding personal motivation and the right position to serve.
• Communicating through stories and shared values.
• Implementing community engagement strategies and refining messaging to bring the community together.
• Fundraising techniques for those who do not consider themselves rich.
