Chef Sean Sherman is determined to revitalize Indigenous foods, restore food sovereignty, and cultural awareness for his people. In 2022, Owamni won the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant, bringing national attention to Indigenous cuisine. This experience will include: an educational presentation, receive Sean Sherman's book The Sioux Chef, and enjoy a meal at Owamni Restaurant (located in Minneapolis).
