  • Front Office / Customer Service

    Smith & Sem Ltd., is looking to add a Staff Member to our team.

    We are seeking a professional and welcoming front desk team member to be the first point of contact for our office.

    This position will be full-time for the upcoming tax season (December – April), with potential for part-time off-season hours. 

    The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and manage all front desk activities efficiently and confidentially, ensuring a positive experience for clients.
               
    Core Job Responsibilities:

    • Answer telephone, transfer phone calls and messages.
    • Greet and direct visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Manage outgoing mail, including preparation of certified and expedited mail.
    • Receive, Scan, and Process client tax documents & information.
    • General office duties include filing, data entry and updating databases.
     
    Preferred Requirements:
    • Prior front office and/or customer service experience with positive people skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication while maintaining confidentiality.
    • Demonstrates competent computer skills and professional phone etiquette.
    • Strong organizational skills with an ability to maintain an organized workspace.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
    • Independent problem solver and enjoys working as a collaborative team member.
