Production-Assembly Associate - 1st and 2nd Shift

$18.00/hour or DOE
Plus, $1.00/hour 2nd Shift differential
Primary Objective of Position:- Performs manual labor along production line
- Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers
- May perform minor repairs as necessary
Major Areas of Responsibility: - Operate production line machinery including, grinder, staple gun, drill, and computers
- Troubleshoot production line machinery
- Perform equipment change-over
- Responsible for quality control. Adjust as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specification
- Operate within Vector Work Instructions (VWIs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Clean and maintain work area
- Other duties as assigned
- Various vinyl frame welding/tooling machines
- Various hand tools used for tooling vinyl frames for acceptance of glass
- Assist Team Lead in timely completion of schedule requirements
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Work Shift 10-12 hours

- Walking – Frequently, to and from machines, tooling tables and angled holding brackets
- Sitting – Rarely
- 2 Hand Carry-Frequently, moving vinyl extrusions (up to 16ft long at < 10lbs, waist level) < 10ft
- Floor to waist lift, occasionally lift vinyl extrusions
- Horizontal lift-Occasionally, moving vinyl extrusions to/from various tooling tables height 44” and tooling machines height 38”
- Waist to Crown lift-Rarely, moving cut or to be recycled vinyl extrusions into storage containers < 5lbs
- Controlled lower to ground-Rarely
- R/L hand carry-Frequently, moving vinyl extrusions (up to 16ft long at < 10lbs waist level) < 10ft
- Twist/Bend-Occasionally, moving vinyl extrusions to/from various tooling tables and tooling machines <5 lbs
- Squat-Kneel/Crawl/Crouch-Rarely
- Stair Climb-Frequently, using portable steps force < 10lbs to retrieve vinyl extrusions from storage receptacles 38”-50”
- Push/pull-Occasionally, pulling vinyl extrusions from storage receptacles 16ft long < 2lbs pull force ,< 10lbs overall weight. Pushing wheeled storage carts with cut and tooled vinyl extrusions to appropriate window lines or temporary storage distance < 15fts, force required up to 50lbs force
- Reach above shoulder-Frequently, reaching to pull out vinyl extrusions from storage receptacles 38”-50” < 2lbs pull force and putting longer pieces of vinyl into vertical storage cart opening at 38”
- Repetitive foot movement-Occasionally, using foot controls of tooling machines
- Manual dexterity-Frequently, using manual tools for bead application onto vinyl pieces and tooling vinyl
- Firm Grasp-Frequently, holding vinyl extrusions while tooling using manual tool and/or machines
- Rare: 1-5% of work shift
- Occasional: 6-33% of work shift
- Frequent: 34-66% of work shift
- Constant: 67-100% of work shift
- Indoors the majority of work shift, average temperature 70
