The Fergus Falls Chamber of Commerce was awarded a “Future Ready Workforce Grant” from the Greater Twin Cities United Way and the Minnesota Chamber Foundation to amplify work experiences for youth in the area. The funds are being distributed to businesses as reimbursement for wages paid to student interns in high-demand career areas such as nursing, CDL, manufacturing, technicians, construction trades, child care, education, maintenance, and more. At the April 15 City Council meeting, “No Mow May” was approved. This allows residents to refrain from mowing their lawns during the month of May.
